In an effort to make best use of our time, I make every effort to begin and end on time.
I have chosen to develop a practice which respects your time and privacy, and is structured to allow for the best care possible. When I give you an appointment time, you can be sure that I have not intentionally given someone else your appointment time. You will have my undivided attention during your appointment, and I will not cut our appointment short in order to see another patient. I do not accept more patients than I can properly care for, and I believe that when a patient calls for an appointment, they should be seen as soon as possible rather than being put on a waiting list. To protect your private health information and to keep costs down, I do not have an office staff to remind patients of appointments. My cancellation policy enables me to continue my practice with these features in mind.

I make every effort to keep our appointments and I know that you will do the same. I trust that you will only cancel when you have a conflict that is unresolvable. Because of this, I do not base the decision on whether or not to charge for a missed visit on whether your reason is “good” or “bad”.
If you cancel:
Within two days of an appointment, for any reason, I will try to reschedule our appointment once to a day within a week of the original appointment. If we are unable to do that for any reason, I will charge you for a missed visit. For example, if you call on a Monday to cancel a Wednesday appointment, and we can reschedule for the following Wednesday, you will not be charged. However, if you must reschedule the new appointment, no matter when the cancellation occurs, you will be charged for a missed visit.
More than 72 hours before an appointment, there is no charge.
